About Me

Jeremy Fu

I love camping and nature, ever since I was a cub scout, making my own adventures in the woods at Camp Oljato. My favorite nature spot is Yosemite National Park.

I am an avid runner since elementary school, and enjoy doing fun runs that student organizations at Northwestern hold. Most recently I ran the Chicago Half Marathon!

Being a Peer Adviser and mentoring 10 new engineering students every year has been one of the most rewarding experiences during my time at Northwestern.

I also build websites, a side-business I began my senior year of high school and have continued since.

My Shrimp!

I have always found comfort in aquariums. There is something magical about being responsible for a miniature ecosystem — a world that cannot survive without my intervention. I see the delicacy and beauty of nature reflected in my tank. My aquarium captures memories of trips to the tide pools that dot the California coast, where I tried to trap native shrimp with my hands, moving slowly but deliberately through freezing water and hairgrass before surrounding them and admiring their coloration.
